I got a new pair of FootJoy golf shoes with soft spikes so I can better practice up at the golf club! And to go with them I got a snazy set of Golf Shorts to practice in

I also got some new riding gloves, and a couple Bontrager bottle holders.
A wireless bike computer to help me train for the upcoming ride to conquer cancer, and a pretty cool water bottle to boot!

I’m so lucky to have all these people supporting me in my life. I’m even more lucky to have friends that would make the trek out to my parents house for BBQ and swimming.

There were nearly 7.8 billion searches performed in the United States last month, according to the study. That’s 2% lower than the traffic a year ago….what if Google is carving out thicker slices of a shrinking pie?

Considering that Google holds 61.9% of the market share, and their primary goal is improving search results, it stands to reason that as time progresses and Google improves search results, that people will need to make fewer searches to get what they want.  This doesn’t represent a shrinking pie, it represents an increase commodity value.  As Google becomes more and more reliable in providing results, the price they can demand for search term ads will increase because they will be the go to solution for search.

Given the War Mongering nature of the GOP in recent years I really hope history doesn’t repeat itself.

Pathetic yes I know but the problems we face could be mitigated with a few minor changes. 

The first of those is the refereeing.  I know it’s kind of lame to blame the refs when you lose a game but in this case it’s really degrading the quality of play we’re experiencing.  I’ve honestly had more honourable games of pickup ball than these ref’d games.  The gameplay is basically disolving into zone defense hacking the crap out of anyone who drives to the hoop.  Without any foul calls from the ref’s the only remaining option is to shoot from outside the key, not our forte.  The team we played last night however, had at least two consistent three point shooters to our none.  Hence the score.

Our whole team is really starting to get frustrated with the ref situation, because we’re paying a lot of money to have them come out and keep things fair.  We don’t really feel like we’re getting our money’s worth and as a result I don’t think a lot of the guys will play in this league again.  We’ll have to do some research about other referee leagues in TO.  I’m open to suggestions.

Hi everyone.  Over the next few months I’ll be rambling periodically; primarily about things that bother me.  As time goes on I’m sure this blog will evolve into something more interesting than just Philosophy graduate ramblings.  The fun part of that evolution will be finding out what interests me most.  The improvement in my writing abilities will be an added benefit.
